Day 16 of Internship / Attachment
Outstation today. Meet up with Limin and Daryl in the morning at cityhall. But all were late. I'm the latest.. So went to eat some toast and coffee first. Then we started out at Penisula Plaza.
Went to the highest floor and walked around. Went in to several offices to do the survey. I remembered one law firm. That lady told us off. And there's this building with all the big companies. Also, we went to this plaza, quite ulu one. Then we saw this 'Ah Long' company. Its shop name is actually licensed money lender. hahaha! It's quite scary when we walked past, cause one of them with tatto all over is actually training with a dumb bell behind the door. haha!
Ok, day ended after that plaza. Sat outside SOTA and chatted awhile before taking train back.
Pro ah? Walked from City hall to Douby Guat. HAHA!
Day 15 of Internship / Attachment
It's monday! Monday's blue. I got swollen eyes from the previous day..
Initial plan is to go for a reccee around the shophouses, so that we can familiarise with the places. But somehow, the plan was cancelled. Did cold-calling and data base collection in the office.
And Lunch is on boss again! Frog Porridge!! Yumm Yumm!
We draw lots to decide who to stay or go out on wednesday. I'm indoor. So will do cold-callings~
Day 14 of Internship / Attachment
Collect data-base in the morning before our review session with boss. During the review session, we feedback to boss about the things we have discussed with mentor the previous day. This is when we learnt that our main objective is not to do sales, but to make an appointment with them at the end of the survey. We have also discussed in splitting into groups of 2 and 3. So that we can take turns to go out for outstations and indoor. Everyone will have the chance to go out.
After lunch, we came back and helped Chong to package the circuit board.
Day 13 of Internship / Attachment
We did the usual practice during the first half of the day. Such as cold-calling and collection of data-base. We went outstation after lunch at city hall area. Met with mentor and did some discussion. Learnt that there are actually better approaches when asking people to do survey, such as using token to lure them for the survey. So after the meeting, we decided to go down to Suntec City to test out if the new approach works. However, we were stopped by the security because we didn’t book any appointment with them.
Day 12 of Internship / Attachment
Today we basically did cold-calling and data-base collection. During the first half of the day, we collected data base. Learnt that the range is wide and need to segment to the specific ones like those offices with meeting rooms who will need the system. Cold-call at the later part of the day. There aren’t much successful calls. Other party will reject.
Day 11 of Internship / Attachment
Did packaging of the stocks for the day. Pack the circuit board into the original packaging for the buyers. Then continued collecting data base by using the internet.
Day 10 of Internship / Attachment
We touched up with the brochures which we are told to edit some parts during the review session at Osram last Friday. Following by collection of data base for this week. Target for this week is to collect 150 data and start cold-calling.
