It's 12/09/09!
Today marks the end of 17/09 Officer Training Course.
It's a unforgettable course that i had went for the 17years in my life.
It's a course that i experienced many first times.
It's a course that i was inspired, motivated.
It's a course that i experienced many things.
It's a course that i'll never forget.
There's just too much to say about the course and i shall keep it to myself.
Yes. It ended.
I got to know many kinds of people from the course.
Tango. 3months ago, we were still strangers. We don't know each of the 14 of us and we didn't had any teamworks during the camp. But slowly, we got bonded during the camp. The most unforgettable was the preparation of our campfire performance. We spent our sleeping time practicing till late night at 2plus am. The 2.4km jog on the 3rd day as a team. The encouragements through the run.. and our first outing at ECP. There's alot to say.
Today. I didn't get much sleeps.
Waking up as early as 4.30am to prepare and meet Chuthing and Annnee at 5.45am, because something cork up last minute. Annnee reached. Chuthing was late. And the 3 of us didn't have any breakfast but the small packet of honey star that i brought with me. Wanted to get Mr Bean pancake to eat, but it only open at 7am where it's the time we need to report in HQ.
So didn't buy any and went to HQ. As i was ensign and Annnee is escort, we've to change into full uniform to case the colours and bring it to Nee Soon Camp. Yea. It was heavy. Plus i think it's my height problem, the colour almost touch the ground. But i got Annnee to help me. So we got the privilege to take the bus first. Rest in the bus. Reached. Our bags was not with us. Waited. And rehearsals. Then lunch was chicken rice. Then changed into full uniform to uncase the colours. The place where we uncase the colours was full of mosquitoes! And it's a disadvantage for females as the guys were wearing pants. My legs were full of mosquitoes stings and it's very itchy. Endure! Then was the ceremony already. Was afraid that i would knock the colour. In the end, i really knock it. At the edge when i was moving up the stage. When back to seat after that. The presentation of certificates. I did something wrong by moving infront.. Forget it. After that, took the colours out. Then case back the colours and it's when i get more mosquitoes stings. Then went back for our surprise. So what's your Standard?
And it was the most parade already. Moved to the form up area. I saw my father's car. Knowing they reached already. Then waited to march in.
Finally, it was the time and marched in. With gusto. Then the march pass. My parents was there. Watching. The speeches, etc. And it was the second march pass. The Auld Lang Syne. Once the music starts, and the first kick for slow march, i've my tears in my eyes. Telling myself not to cry. I had this feelings for the past rehearsals. Yea. I was touched. That kind of feelings i don't know how to express. Many feelings! Went in and got our ranks. Hold it on our left hand and preparing to march out and singing "We Are One". It's another touching moment when i still had tears in my eyes. The lyrics of the song. Yes. The moment. My parents put on my grade 6 rank for me. Touched. Then we were commissioned as Officers. SJ pledge. Then threw beret. First and last time! Then photo taking. My parents didn't eat the buffet, and they sent Annnee's mother and sister home. Then the 3 of us, went to eat. Then packed up, waiting to go back to HQ. And went to uncase the colours.. And home sweet home!
Tired. It's the second time, i slept in MRT! haha!
Back home. Bathe and rest. Then sleep..
Our new journey of SJ begins~
